Hey guys, A friend couldn't go on holiday for family reasons and now another friend wants to go in her place. It is 16 days to the holiday and it is a package holiday with sunworld. Can this be done at this stage? And will it cost much money?

If you move FAST you may be able to get it done. When my husband couldn't make a planned trip to Jamaica at the last minute (I knew about a week ahead of time, actually), I looked into giving his ticket/reservation to a friend and it wasn't possible. Since 9-11, the airlines don't let you transfer tickets so your friend would have to purchase a ticket now and hope the prices aren't too bad. As far as the resort goes, I'd contact them directly and ask how they can help you. Hopefully, they'll want to keep you happy. I hope your friend had trip insurance. We finally got my husband's fare back but it took awhile...If your friend doesn't have trip insurance, the airline will probably give you some sort of voucher that she/he can use sometime in the next year. It will cost money, i think around £30 - £50 is common for a name change but each holiday company varies.
